A favour for the Official: Walk into the United Research Official's room at the north-east of the camp (carry little: the Official turns you away if your bag is nearly full). The expedition is breaking apart over small quarrels, and the Official asks you to help the three document researchers to the meeting table.

Tea with Ryosen: Talk to Ryosen in the Rune-Midgarts office. He tells you about the group's quarrels over a cup ofRafflesia tea, then hands you the meeting invitation to deliver to Hue and Hansenne. Hue must get it first. You receive an Invite To Meeting.
Ryosen: -
The Schwarzwald signature: Give the invitation to Hue in the Schwarzwald office. He grumbles, then signs.
Hue: -
The Arunafeltz signature: Give the invitation to Hansenne in the Arunafeltz office. He laughs a lot and signs too.
Hansenne: -
Back to Ryosen: Return to Ryosen with the signed invitation. He sighs, and asks you to take it to the Official. He will prepare for the meeting meanwhile.

Report to the Official: Hand the invitation to the Official. The Official is pleased and asks you to go see the three researchers once more and help them prepare for the meeting. Quest log 'United Research Official's Favor' (8199).

Ryosen asks for a file: Talk to Ryosen again and choose to help him. He wants a document he requested from Arunafeltz and never got.

Hansenne lost the file: Hansenne has lost the file somewhere on a bridge while playing treasure hunter, and suggests fishing for it instead.

The Messy File: Fish at the School of Fish in the Splendide field. Every catch has about a 1 in 20 chance of hauling up the Messy File (a map shout announces it). Fishing gear shortens the casting time but is not required. Several fish spots stand in a row there; the first is at 314,165.
School of Fish: -
Show Hansenne: Show the Messy File to Hansenne. He cannot fix it and says the Schwarzwald people are good at restoring documents, so take it to Hue.

Document restoration: Hue grumbles about the soaked Messy File and asks for 1 Fan, 1 Old Frying Pan, 1 Flame Stone and 1 Chinese Ink to dry, iron and rewrite it. Bring them, and he returns a Neat Report.

The report for Ryosen: Take the Neat Report to Ryosen. It is just in time for the meeting. He asks you to tell the Official to start.

The meeting: Tell the Official the researchers are ready. All three give their reports, and the meeting falls apart over something small. You are moved out of the room. You land back in the camp at 165,236.

After the meeting: In the office the Official wonders what to do. Tell the Official that Hansenne is not the one who ruined the cake the others fought over. Quest log 'Hansenne is not guilty' (8207).

Hansenne is not guilty: Talk to Hansenne. He laughs it off, says it was nothing big and asks you to get Ryosen and Hue to make up. He gives you a Spicy Sandwich.

Hue's report: Talk to Hue. He gives you a Neat Report and a Pineapple Jubilee for Ryosen.

Ryosen's cake: Take Hue's report to Ryosen. He is embarrassed, thanks you, and gives you a Strawberry Cake. Tell the Official that things are fine.

Tea from the Official: Tell the Official about the three researchers' talk. The Official thanks you with a cup of special tea and a First Aid Kit. Afterwards each researcher swaps a snack for loot: Ryosen 2 Mystic Horns (fromCornus) for a Strawberry Cake, Hue 2 Furs for a Pineapple Jubilee, Hansenne 2 Peaked Hats for a Spicy Sandwich. Reward: 80,000 base EXP, 3,000 job EXP and a First Aid Kit.
