Walkthrough
-
Hear it from a son: Talk to Louis Greg in the Rogue Guild, next to Hollgrehenn Junior. His brothers Thor and Jay work too, any of the three starts it. They tell you their father Haijara has vanished into a hidden panic room somewhere in the guild.
Louis Greg: -
Find Haijara: Find the hidden panic room. No warp leads in, you walk. From the map data: enter the Rogue Guild (Comodo field cmd_fild07 193,117), take the stairs in the lobby (375,34) up to the upper hall, walk west along the hall past Markie, the Rogue Guildsman (363,122), to the west end (350,120), then go straight north up a narrow 2-cell corridor (about 40 cells) and turn east into the room. Talk to Haijara Greg inside. Choose "I don't mean you any harm!", then "I came to help you.", then "Sure!". The question about Chae Takbae does not matter. He gives you a letter for Louis. If you choose "Give us what we want!" he hits you with Back Stab for 95% of your HP and throws you out; just start this step again.
Haijara Greg: -
Louis's letter: Give the letter to Louis Greg. He reads it and writes one for his brother Thor.
-
Thor: Take Louis's letter to Thor Greg, next to Hermanthorn Junior. He reads it and writes a letter for his brother Jay.
Thor Greg: -
Jay: Take Thor's letter to Jay Greg, next to Antonio Junior. He tells the guild and writes a reply for his father.
Jay Greg: -
Back to Haijara: Take Jay's reply to Haijara Greg in the panic room. He is relieved and says you may learn the skill he taught his sons. Go and ask Thor.
-
Ask Thor to train you: Talk to Thor Greg. Pick "Listen to Explanation" or go straight to "Go to Training Ground". Either way he sends you to a spot in the Rogue Guild at 89,114.
-
The Training Ground: A few steps from where you land is the Training Ground waiting room. Enter it and you are sent to the practice map in Prontera Arena (prt_are01). If you were disconnected during training, talk to Thor again and say "Yes, please".
-
Block Kienna: A message says Kienna will appear in 1 second. She stands at one of 8 spots; walk up to her. For 10 rounds choose where to block her: Left, Right or Retreat. Nothing shows you where she goes, so every round is a 1 in 3 guess. You need more than 5 right (grade C+ or better: S 10, A 9, B+ 8, B 7, C+ 6). With a lower grade she lets you try again at once. You are sent out after 5 minutes. By the numbers, one try in about 13 passes.
-
Report to Thor: After a pass Kienna sends you back to the Rogue Guild (264,124). Talk to Thor Greg. He tells you to see his father.
-
The thief: Talk to Haijara Greg. A man grabs the skill book and runs. Talk to Haijara again if the man is gone, he calls him back. The Killer appears next to the room (357,174) for 2 minutes.
-
Catch the Killer: Walk up to the Killer. He is frozen. For 10 rounds, read his aura colour and block him: white aura = Left, yellow = Right, pale red = Retreat. A wrong answer costs nothing, it only corrects you, so you cannot fail this one.
-
Return the book: Give the book back by talking to Haijara Greg. He offers to explain Close Confine ("Yes, please" or "No, thanks"), then teaches you the skill either way. After you transcend to Stalker, talk to him again and he teaches it once more. Reward: The Close Confine skill.
