Shorty's friend Salty: At base level 31 or more, call Shorty and he tells you he wants to meet Salty. Go with him to the Payon inn (payon_in01, 193,23) and talk to the innkeeper Chanmo. She says Salty went out to pick acorns and jelly in the fields south-southwest of Prontera. Shorty only starts this when you ask him himself after level 31.
