Walkthrough

  1. Tyus and the Hellion's gem: Find the Old Scholar Tyus in Morocc (morocc_in, 116,101). Ask 'What are you looking for?', listen to the story of his grandfather and the cursed gem, then answer 'Of course, I will.' You need base level 60. Below base level 60 he sends you away to grow stronger. Every NPC in this quest wants about 2,000 weight free and a free slot, or he refuses to hand over rewards.

  3. Clanux Heffron: Talk to Clanux Heffron in Prontera (prontera, 269,326). Say 'He wants me to help you.' (the other answer makes him refuse). He tells you to search the old Swordman training grounds in Prontera. Refusing to cooperate only costs one extra visit.

  5. The training dummy: The old training dummy at the former Swordman grounds in Prontera (prontera, 223,82) has a gash in it. Click it and choose 'Inspect the dummy's gash.' Inside is a note: 'Veggie Lady N9 W3 BINGO.'
  6. Clanux's cogwheel: Report to Clanux Heffron (prontera, 269,326). Either answer works; he hands you a Cogwheel from the Tool Shop in Prontera. You may also do the Veggie Lady step first. You can do this step and the Veggie Lady step in either order.
  7. Clanux and the code: Show Clanux that you found the code. He gives you the Cogwheel he found in the Tool Shop in Prontera. You can do this step and the Veggie Lady step in either order.
  8. The Veggie Lady: Walk to the spot in west Prontera (prontera, 45,67), where a Veggie Lady stands. Say the word from the note, BINGO, when asked. She gives you a long code number: 3847147298. Write it down. Type the word in capitals. Any other word gets you nowhere; try again. You can do this step before or after getting the Cogwheel from Clanux.

  9. The Unknown Machine: In the Prontera tool shop (prt_in, 128,79) click the Unknown Machine and pick 'Insert Cogwheel.' A number pad opens: type 3847147298. The Cogwheel is used up when you insert it.

  11. The first tablet piece: Take the Prontera Tablet to Tyus in Morocc (morocc_in, 116,101). He recognises his grandfather's engraving and points you to the city of the thickest forest: Payon. Clanux will ask what you found. Telling him or not changes nothing.
  12. Grout'he Tuccok: Find Grout'he Tuccok in Payon (payon, 182,132). Bring 10,000 Zeny and a free slot. Pay for his clues; he marks the first spot on your minimap and gives you a Stone Heart, a Green Herb, Grape Juice and a Skirt of Virgin. If you are short of Zeny or inventory space he sends you away; come back with both.

  16. Fourth clue: Click the Vat (payon, 240,160): 'Wine or Grape Juice? Oh, but I much prefer wine.' Grout'he marks the spot again on request. Do not drop the four items he gave you.

  17. Solving the riddle: Talk to Grout'he again and ask for help ('Yes, please!'). He draws lines between the four spots and marks the point in the middle: a house in Payon.
  18. The wooden floor: Go to the marked house (payon, 159,129) and click the Wooden Floor. Choose 'Dig through the dust.' You need the Stone Heart, Green Herb, Grape Juice and Skirt of Virgin; they are used up. A stone slab shows an old engraving. The slab says the next piece was left with 'the compassionate one'. If you stop halfway, click the floor again to read it.
Wooden Floor:
  1. The compassionate one: Tell Grout'he what the slab said. He knows a giant stone statue in the Archer Village that fits.
  2. The statue in Archer Village: Walk up to the Buddha statue in the Archer Village (pay_arche, 142,28) and click it. A voice asks what you would do if you could only live by killing someone. Answer 'I won't kill, but I'll find a way to live!' to get the Payon Tablet. Any other answer kills you on the spot. You need about 2,000 weight free.
Buddha Statue:
  1. Tyus and the Morocc tablet: Take the Prontera and Payon tablets to Tyus (morocc_in, 116,101). He adds a third piece, the Morocc Tablet, and sends you to Welshyun the sage in Geffen. Without both tablets in your bag he attacks you, so check first.
  2. Sage Welshyun: Find Sage Welshyun in Geffen (geffen, 110,200). Choose 'Yes, please help me.' He sends you to his student Enoz in Geffen Tower for a report. The rude answer only adds the White Potion detour. The task afterwards is the same.

  1. Welshyun is offended: You were rude, so he is thirsty and cranky. Talk to him once more. The rude answer only adds the White Potion detour. The task afterwards is the same.
  2. A White Potion for Welshyun: Bring 1 White Potion to Welshyun (geffen, 110,200). He accepts the drink and gives you the same errand for Enoz. The rude answer only adds the White Potion detour. The task afterwards is the same.
  3. Enoz and the report: Find Enoz in Geffen Tower (gef_tower, 116,37). Say 'Actually, Welshyun sent me.' and type the report title exactly: Monster Life in the Geffen Area
Enoz:
  1. Welshyun's prank: Go back to Welshyun (geffen, 110,200). He says the whole thing was a prank, wants you to return his Master Science Reference Book to Enoz and to bring him 1 Blue Gemstone. He gives you the book.
  2. The reference book: Hand the Master Science Reference Book to Enoz (gef_tower, 116,37).
  3. Welshyun's question: Bring 1 Blue Gemstone to Welshyun (geffen, 110,200). He asks where the abode of the departed souls with a shining silver roof is in the third part of the ballad of Grimnir. Type the answer: Valaskjalf. He gives you the Geffen Tablet. A wrong answer lets you try again. Without the Blue Gemstone he sends you away.
  4. Four pieces: Take all four tablet pieces (Prontera, Payon, Morocc and Geffen) to Tyus in Morocc (morocc_in, 116,101). Without all four pieces he attacks you.
  5. The complete tablet: Go back to Welshyun (geffen, 110,200). He joins the four pieces into the Complete Tablet. It has a map on the back that leads to the guardian of the gem. He offers to warp you there. If you decline his warp, walk to the cave yourself (gef_fild09, 296,59).
  6. The Hidden Cave: Carry the Complete Tablet to the cave in the Geffen field (gef_fild09, 296,59). Insert the tablet; the rock opens and a message on the floor asks to be killed. It warps you to the chamber (gef_dun03, 140,119). Kill the Hellion Revenant, who may drop the Eye of Hellion. You can also turn back to Tyus with the tablet alone, but the Eye brings a bigger reward. Hidden Cave:
  1. The seal: Take the Complete Tablet and the Eye of Hellion to Tyus (morocc_in, 116,101). He seals the gem and gives you the Nile Rose. If you still carry an Eye of Hellion later, Tyus takes it from you. Reward: Nile Rose, Old Blue Box and Base EXP 120,000 with the Eye of Hellion; Nile Rose and Base EXP 100,000 with the tablet only.
