Temple of the Demon God

A party boss run for the Demon God Subjugation quest: kill the two apostles, beat Brinaranea in the ice wing and Muspellskoll in the fire wing, then the Demigod and Despair God Morroc.

Morroc wants to be a god. You decide otherwise.
The Demon God Morroc was reborn in a temple under the Flame Cave. Commander Hibba Agip asks for volunteers. Guardian Nidhogg opens a gate through a tree that looks like Yggdrasil, and the party fights through his temple one boss at a time.

How to go

  1. Take the quest. Talk to Commander Hibba Agip and accept Demon God Subjugation. Without it, Nidhogg refuses you.
  2. Party up. Nidhogg will not talk to a lone player, and only the leader can open the gate.
  3. The leader asks Nidhogg to open the way. Pick Enter now.
  4. Everyone steps through the tree. Each member touches the Yggdrasil lookalike and picks Enter.

The temple

  1. The apostles. Ahat greets you, then your party is moved inside. Kill both apostles,
    Demon God's Apostle Aha     and
    Demon God's Apostle Shn    , and the four
    Incarnation of Morocc     and
    Incarnation of Morocc     fragments with each. They drop Soul of Ahat and Soul of Shnayim.
  2. The soul globes. The leader puts each soul into its empty globe. When both are filled, a gate to the center opens.
  3. Morroc speaks. A boy tells you he let you kill him so that he could be reborn as a god. Loki and Nidhogg answer, and the fight begins.
  4. Nidhogg joins you. Nidhogg offers to fight at your side as a mercenary (
    Guardian's Alter Ego    ). You must not have another mercenary, and you can call him again after 3 hours.
  5. The ice wing. Fight your way to
    Brinaranea    , with
    Frost Spider     around her. She heals herself. Kill her and a new gate opens. The kill gives 1,000,000 base EXP and 500,000 job EXP.
  6. The fire wing.
    Muspellskoll     waits among lava ponds. It can regenerate using the lava, and Nidhogg warns you when it does. Kill it for the same EXP.
  7. Back to the center. Morroc returns as
    Demigod    . During the fight
    Morroc of the Genesis     and
    Morroc of the Sabbath     also take the floor.
  8. The last fight.
    Despair God Morroc     appears. When it falls, the way out opens.

The first time you report, Hibba Agip also gives the Darklord Soulpiece and starts the next quest, Caged God. Later reports give the Expedition Prize Box and EXP only.
