Walkthrough

  1. The bundle of files: In the research section of the Juno library (yuno_in04) read the Preface of the Bundle of Files at (186,125). It says how little is known about the buried city of Juperos. Only the Preface matters for the quest; the other chapters unlock with later steps.

  2. The grumpy scholar: Speak to the Scholar at (190,125), choose 'By any chance...' and tell her about your own adventures. She is Fayruz and her thesis lacks evidence from Juperos; she asks you to bring her ancient documents. Quest log 11017.

  3. The bronze statue: Go to the Juperos Ruins (juperos_01). Investigate the Bronze Statue at (99,112): the engraved message is in an old tongue, yet you can read it, and the sounds stay in your memory. Quest log 11018.

  4. Recite the message: Back in the library, tell Fayruz you found the statue and recite the message. She translates it, a riddle about the end of the madness and a vain, extravagant man. She now wants any historic object from Juperos. Quest log 11019.
  5. Transparent Plate I: Bring Fayruz a Transparent Plate. Dimiks in the Juperos Ruins and in the Juperos Core drop them; there are four plates, one per Dimik type, each a rare 0.25 % drop at the base rate (the
    Swift Dimik     of the Core also drops the first type, 1.25 %). She keeps the plate, tells you an old Juperos tale, and you gain base EXP. Quest log 11020. Offer each of the four plates only once: a plate you already gave her only earns a Gift Box. Reward: 10,000 base EXP.
  6. Transparent Plate II: Bring a different Transparent Plate (one of the other three types). She tells another tale. Quest log 11021. A repeat of a plate you gave only earns a Gift Box. Reward: 10,000 base EXP.
  7. Translating: Talk to Fayruz once more. She says the plates are helping her research and is busy translating a last passage.
  8. Transparent Plate III: Bring a third kind of Transparent Plate. Another tale, and base EXP. Quest log 11022. Reward: 10,000 base EXP.
  9. A breakthrough: Visit Fayruz again. She is stuck on the third plate, then suddenly understands it and rushes off.
  10. Transparent Plate IV: Bring the fourth, still missing Transparent Plate. Fayruz now has enough data for her thesis and tells you the last tale, of a pure-hearted hero in gaudy armor. The quest ends here. Quest log 11022 completes. Total 40,000 base EXP over the four plates (renewal values). Reward: 10,000 base EXP.
