Walkthrough

  1. The foreign merchant: In the Morocc ruins talk to the Foreign Merchant at (77,167). He asks how you heard of Morocc and sets you on a small errand. Needs the Thor Volcano Base quest finished (aru_vol 27). Quest log 2129.
    Foreign Merchant:
  2. Follow the trail: Walk through the ruins past four spots in this order: (88,136), (106,133), (115,147), (86,149). Each one moves the errand on.
  3. The second merchant: Return to (88,136). About half the time a second Foreign Merchant appears at (101,133); if not, walk the circuit again. Talk to him.
    Foreign Merchant:
  4. The fruit wine: He is thirsty. Buy a drink from the wandering drink merchant by the pond in the middle of Morocc, then give the Morocc Fruit Wine to the first merchant (77,167). Pick Give Fruit Wine; he hands over a note for Zhed.
  5. High Priest Zhed: Take the note to High Priest Zhed in Rachel (277,159).
    High Priest Zhed:
  6. The priestess's room: Speak to the Female Follower (Sappie) in the Rachel priestess's room at (103,151).
    Female Follower:
  7. Niren will not listen: Talk to Niren in the Rachel temple (165,57) about Zhed. She refuses, and says war is the answer.
    Niren:
  8. Zhed again: Report back to Zhed (277,159).
  9. Zhed's letter: Talk to Zhed once more. He explains why war helps no one and writes a letter for Niren.
  10. The letter for Niren: Give the letter to Niren (165,57).
  11. Niren thinks it over: Keep talking to Niren (about one try in ten works). She decides to ask the pope for her view.
  12. The pope: Visit the pope in her chamber in the Sky Garden (99,99) and chat with her about the outside world.
Pope:
  1. Niren's file: Tell Niren how the pope is. She gives you a letter and a file to deliver to Ishmael.
  2. Ishmael: Find Ishmael in North Rachel at (139,355) and give her Niren's file.
Ishmael:
  1. A red gemstone: Ishmael needs a Red Jewel to forge a copy. Bring her one; she hands back the forged file. Red Jewel (item 725) is a monster drop.
  2. The forgery: Give the forged file to Niren (165,57).
  3. Back to Zhed: Tell Zhed everything is ready; Niren has sent the followers away.
  4. The pope's blessing: Walk into the pope's hall in the Sky Garden at (100,93). Zhed and Niren wait there; the pope prays for you and you are sent to Rachel.
  1. Niren finds her way: Talk to Niren (165,57) after the pope's speech. Reward: 100,000 base EXP (1,000,000 in the old rules).
  2. Peace: Report to Zhed (277,159). Peace with the Schwarzwald Republic is back on the table. Reward: 150,000 base EXP (1,500,000 in the old rules).
