Viorel's invitation: As a Genetic with an evolved Homunculus of level 99 or more, talk to the Alchemist Viorel in the alchemy lab in Lighthalzen. He wants to speak in private and takes you to his house. Bring the Homunculus along; the quest checks it at several points. A Homunculus that is still vaporized stops the process.

The Mutation System: Viorel explains that a mutation can free a Homunculus from its limits at the price of a new look. Agree to try the Homunculus Mutation System and he sends you to his colleague Jeyna.

Jeyna: Jeyna welcomes you and says a Homunculus can turn into any of five new forms, keeping the skills it already knows. Look at the board behind her to decide which form you want.

The Magic Board: Read the Magic Board on the right. It describes the five forms: Eira, Bayeri, Sera, Dieter and Eleanor, their elements, skills and food.

Back to an embryo: Tell Jeyna you want to go on. First the Homunculus has to return to its embryo state, which needs a free slot in your bag and a Homunculus that is awake and not vaporized. Do not change jobs until the mutation is finished. You cannot use Call Homunculus until the process is complete.

Farewell from Jeyna: Jeyna says goodbye and sends you back to Viorel's house for the last step.

The mutation: Viorel mutates the embryo. Pay 50,000 zeny for the stabilised process and choose Eira, Sera, Dieter, Bayeri or Eleanor, or take the unstable mutation for free and get whatever form comes out. Reward: a mutated Homunculus S (50,000 zeny to pick the form).
