From a blank browser tab to your first hour in the world: choose your path, meet Ren, understand the loop. This guide covers everything a new player needs before they hit the Hunt Board.

Play in Browser

The full Renewal client runs in WebGL. No download, no patcher, no install. Open a tab, log in, and you are in Midgard in under two minutes.

Open the play page

Hit Play in Browser from the top nav or the homepage.

Create your account

Pick a name and a starting class

Swordsman, Mage, Archer, Thief, Acolyte, or Merchant. You can switch later via Transcendence.

Walk through the opening with Ren

Ren, your assigned guide NPC, walks you through the first zone and the story hook. Do not skip the cutscene.

Your first hour

What actually happens when you log in.

The first session is paced through the story. You will not hit an empty map and wonder what to click.

Make your account

Register at the browser client or arionro.com/register. Your account is shared between the browser and desktop client. One account, both paths.

Create your character

Pick a username, starting class, and appearance. This is a low-rate server, so every level is earned and the long road to Base 200 is the adventure.

Begin the story with Ren

Ren is your assigned NPC guide for Chapter I. She opens the main questline, explains the Veil, and points you toward the first instance. Every new character gets Ren.

Learn the no-P2W loop

Complete Hunt Board bounties to earn Arion Coins. Spend them at the in-game coin shop on cosmetics, inventory slots, or experience buffs. None of this is buyable with real money. That is the entire loop.

Run Veilkeeper's Sanctum (4 players)

The Chapter I instance. Drops the first story gear set and advances the main questline. You can queue from the instance board in Prontera.

How you grow

Progression is story-gated, not paywall-gated.

The path to a 4th job follows the narrative chapters. You do not buy your way up a tier list. You play through the story and the world opens around you.

The fair-play promise

One loop. No shortcuts for sale.

Arion Coins are earned by playing: Hunt Board bounties, Milestone rewards, daily quests. You spend them at the in-game Coin Shop on cosmetics and convenience items. Every single perk in the shop is also earnable without a coin. Real money cannot buy Arion Coins. No gear, no stats, no content keys are ever for sale.
