The Poison King (Luoyang)

The old man in the slums: Visit the Poison King, Nagash Arses, in his hut (lou_in02, 123,39). Free some weight first: he refuses to talk if your bag is full. He recites a poem about moonlight and homesickness. At the end of the talk pick 'Show him a sad look'. Do this at the start only. The same last option, picked later while he is not offering his topic list, sets you back to this step. Poison King · Inside Louyang 123/39

The poem: Carry a Green Potion, a Green Herb or a Red Gemstone and talk to him again; about two visits in three he then offers a topic list. Pick 'Ask about the poem' and answer his quiz about the poem. The right answers are the poem's own words: 'in bed', 'frost', 'head', 'homesick', and for the meaning: wistful mood, separation as the theme, a quatrain, moonlight and frost. Then repeat the line he asks for. He asks one of four random quizzes. You need every one of his four questions right, then the line he names. A miss ends the talk; ask again.
