Memorial dungeon
A time loop where the White Wings keep finding Shaloshi, and Ferre keeps getting angry.
Roel of the White Wings guild has found the last place Newoz was seen. Runane's portal sends your party into a time loop: a chain of rooms with Newoz, Aigu, Shaloshi and the rest of the guild. Every room is a pack of Ferre followed by a short scene, and the scenes are the story. At the end Shaloshi's friend Ferre turns into Awakened Ferre, and Newoz stays to help you.
How to go
- Be level 120 or more and talk to Roel. He asks if you want to join the search for Newoz. Say "Yes" and the quest Nightmarish Jitterbug starts. Below level 120 he does not give the quest.
- Form a party. Even a party of one works.
- The leader talks to Runane and picks Open the dimensional portal. Everyone else waits for that.
- Everyone talks to Runane and picks Enter Nightmarish Jitterbug. A map announcement names your party. You arrive in the first room at (16, 17).
Entering sets the quest Nightmarish Jitterbug: Waiting, which ends at the next 04:00 server time. While it runs, Runane turns you away. She says 20 or 23 hours, but the wait ends at 04:00, whatever hour you went in. When it ends, talk to her once and she opens the portal again.
When you finish, Roel pays out. If you do the run again, say "Yes" to Roel first: he restarts the quest and pays the same EXP again.
How a room works
All the rooms are on one map and each has the same rhythm.
- When the leader finishes the scene in a room, the door to the next one opens and its monsters appear.
- Kill them all. About 1.5 seconds after the last one falls, the story characters of that room show up.
- The leader talks to them. Other members only get a short line. When the scene ends, the next door opens.
You cannot skip a room, because the story characters do not appear until its monsters are dead. Every scene offers Hurry. It only skips the talk once you have handed the quest in to Roel at least once.
The monsters
Four kinds of Ferre fill the rooms. All four are small Demons with a Level 2 element.
In the table below, A is the level 125 Ferre, B the level 126, C the level 127 and D the level 128. J1 and J2 are the Jitterbug mini-bosses (see below), which you must kill to clear the room they stand in.
| Room | A | B | C | D | Mini-boss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | none, scene only | ||||
| 2 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 0 | none |
| 3 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 0 | none |

There is no room 5 on the way: that number is the exit room at the end, so room 4 leads to room 6. Room 22 has its fifteen Ferre standing at fixed spots along the path rather than in one group. Room 18 also places nine of its Ferre in a block at (209 to 213, 272 to 276); they are counted in the table. The boss room is described below.
Choices that change the fight
Five scenes ask the leader to pick an answer. Most answers only change the dialogue, but one answer in each of these scenes changes the fight.
| Room | Who asks | Answer that changes the fight | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | Newoz asks for your favorite song | "Newoz's Red Potion (feat. Muka)" | An extra Jitterbug (J1) appears in room 10 |
| 14 | Mingmin asks about a dream | "She was talking with someone" | An extra J1 appears in room 15 |
| 17 | Aigu asks about love | "We're happy." | An extra J1 appears in room 18 |
| 20 | Gelka asks about special skill names | "You just made up those words to look cool!" | An extra J1 appears in room 21 |
| 21 | Roter splits you into two teams | "Search alone." | Two extra J1 stand in the boss room when it starts |
Every other answer only changes the dialogue. The extra Jitterbugs are optional: you do not have to kill them to clear the room. They are extra EXP and an extra chance at Jitterbug Teeth. An extra one is the same monster as J1.
The game remembers the leader's last answer to each of these questions. If the leader uses Hurry on a scene instead of answering, that remembered answer from an earlier run decides whether the extra Jitterbug appears.
The mini-bosses
| Monster | Level | HP | Element | Base EXP | Job EXP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jitterbug1 (J1) | 135 | 2,614,000 | Undead 2 | 36,804 | 23,170 |
Jitterbug2 (J2) | 135 | 2,614,000 | Undead 2 | 36,804 | 23,170 |
J1 casts Wide Silence, Lex Aeterna and Darkness Breath. J2 casts Wide Confusion, Reverberation and Lex Aeterna. Rooms 10, 15, 18 and 21 are the hard ones before the boss: a mini-boss fights next to a full Ferre pack.
The boss room
After room 22 the scene sends you into the last room. Newoz tells Shaloshi he is glad she did not go too far, Ferre gets angry, and the fight starts. If the leader chose "Search alone." in room 21, two extra Jitterbugs stand in the room from the start.
Awakened Ferre stands at (322, 335): level 140, Undead 3, 19,471,800 HP, MVP. He casts Lex Aeterna, Darkness Breath, Wide Silence and Wide Confusion. Twelve Ferre guard him, four each of A, B and C, spread around the room. You do not have to kill them to win. He is the only monster that counts for the clear.
Newoz's help can freeze you. Every 30 seconds while the boss lives, Newoz tells a joke, a Storm Gust effect plays over the boss, and every party member standing within 10 cells of (323, 324) is frozen for 15 seconds. Stay away from the middle of the room when the 30 seconds run out.
When he dies, the scene continues and the last door opens: a 10 by 10 warp square that takes you to the exit room. Dead players are not warped, so revive everyone first.
The exit room
The exit room at (360, 23) has everyone from the story standing around. Mingmin at (375, 28) does two trades:
- Strange Pendant: give her a Pendant of Harmony and a Pendant of Chaos and she combines them into a Pendant of Maelstrom. She describes it as ATK +6 %, MATK +6 %, all stats +1, level 130, one slot. Both pendants must be unequipped.
- Jitterbug Tooth: give her 50 Tooth of Jitterbug and she gives you one random item. Each of these twelve is equally likely: Old Card Album, New Oz's Ukulele, Aigu's Floral Mic, New Oz's Wing Ring, Aigu's Floral Bracelet, Pendant of Harmony, Pendant of Chaos, Mystical Card Album, Frozen Breastplate, Harden Breastplate, Gigantic Bow and Bow of Storm. She will not talk to you with a full bag or when you carry almost your full weight (less than 1,000 weight free).
To finish, walk into the warp at (391, 30). It sends whoever steps in out to Morocc at (30, 88) and completes the quest for them. Talk to Roel there for the EXP. Finish your trades with Mingmin first.
Drops
The boss gives 3,132,000 base EXP and 2,720,300 job EXP. The Teeth are the main reason to bring the optional Jitterbugs: only the mini-bosses and Awakened Ferre drop them, and 50 buy one random item.
