Water Garden

A party run into the Sages' Mansion garden: prune four gardens full of Aries, Papilas and Verportas while meteors and Heaven's Drive sweep the floor, then keep the Papilas off the boss with coloured pillars. Normal ends with Silva Papilia, Hard (level 180) with Gran Papilia.

Memorial dungeon
One run a day. Five gardeners, five overgrown areas, one boss.
Harad sends a party to the water garden of the Sages' Mansion once a day. Five gardeners (Hetilla, Juventus, Aditura, Higel and Velkina) ask you to cut the garden back, one area after another, and the run ends with a Papilla boss. The three daily jobs of the Water Garden episode are done here.

How to go

  1. Get Seihyu to send you. Harad only says "we have no ships operating right now" until Seihyu has sent you to him in the Water Garden episode.
  2. Form a party. Only the leader can create the run. Harad's menu has Create Water Garden, and Create Water Garden Hard once the leader has handed the antidote to Elyumina. Hard asks for base level 180 and turns the leader away below it.
  3. Wait for the run to open. Harad tells you to speak to him again and pick Enter Water Garden (or the Hard one). If no run exists yet he says it has not been created.
  4. Everyone enters through Harad, with the same menu. After your first Silva Papilia for the antidote, Harad asks which one to enter: pick the one the leader created. A map announcement says who is entering. You arrive at (64, 69).
If the party leader changes after the run was created, Harad warns that the run is cancelled and you may not go on. Taming monsters inside is marked as not normal play in the same warning.

Waits

  • Every member who goes in gets the quest Water Garden - Waiting. It lasts until the next 04:00 server time (a clock time, not four hours). Until then Harad turns that player away for both Normal and Hard, with a message about the gardeners' plant schedule.
  • Creating the run gives the leader the quest Water Garden (or Water Garden Hard). It is erased when the leader steps into the garden, which also decides the mode. A leader who walks away and creates the other mode erases the first.

Run

The whole run is on one map. Each area opens only after the one before it ends. Every area is started by talking to its gardener, and anyone in the instance can do that (the first to talk starts it).
The run starts when the leader steps on the entry spot at (66, 69). Before that, the warp at (75, 69) only says you can enter after the leader has entered. After it, the warp takes you to (208, 57).

1. The first garden

Talk to Hetilla at (216, 58). The area opens only after all but one of the monsters are dead (the last one is removed).

The meteor trap. The moment you talk, and then every 24 seconds until the area is cleared, every living member is moved to one of eight spots at random: (240, 73), (225, 59), (253, 91), (257, 76), (240, 54), (227, 80), (228, 92) or (261, 54). Two seconds later a map announcement says "The magic of the Papilla's has activated. Be careful!". At 4 seconds, eight short-lived Papilas (10,000 HP, no EXP) appear at (240, 73), (225, 59), (253, 91), (257, 76), (240, 54), (227, 80), (223, 92) and (261, 54), and each calls down a Rain of Meteor on its own spot. At 9 seconds they are removed.
Seven of the eight landing spots are also meteor spots, so do not stand still where you land. Dead members are not moved. When the area is cleared the trap stops and a warp opens at (269, 68) to the next garden.

2. The second garden

The warp leads to (311, 67). Talk to Juventus at (316, 69). The area opens when one monster is left.
The Papilla board. A map announcement says "The Papilla's has returned!" and the trap runs on a 26.8 second loop:
  • Three Papilas appear at random squares of a grid with x 320 to 345 and y 66 to 91, five cells apart. Each is red (a cross pattern) or blue (a diagonal pattern).
  • At 5.0, 5.6 and 6.2 seconds the three Papilas fire Heaven's Drive (level 3) in four directions, five steps of five cells each: red straight along the row and column, blue along the diagonals.
  • At 11.8 seconds they disappear. The loop starts again at 26.8 seconds, until the area is cleared.
Stay off the row and column of every red Papilla and off the diagonals of every blue one. The lines can reach players outside the grid.
When the area opens, a warp appears at (343, 97) and takes you to (343, 139).

3. The rose garden

Talk to Aditura at (341, 143), or just walk by her: stepping near her (hidden players do not count) is what counts. Then cross the garden along the two rows of the corridor (y 149 and y 173). Nine spots across the garden spawn their monsters when the first player steps on them. None of these monsters are required:

The spots are on y 149 at x 315, 295, 275 and 255, at (231, 162), and on y 173 at x 255, 275, 295 and 315.
At the end of the corridor, Higel at (344, 173) opens the next area. He only talks after you have walked past Aditura. After a five-second wait he opens a warp at (343, 184). It drops you at random on one of four spots, (345, 235), (345, 278), (305, 310) or (305, 236).

4. The maze

Talking to Higel starts the fourth area. Monsters are placed all over it; the area ends when two special monsters are dead, at (278, 241) and (278, 301). The others are not required.

The map announces "The final garden has opened" and a warp appears at (265, 309) that takes you to (189, 287), the boss area.
The cookie job. When Higel sends you on, one of four Gardeners becomes visible at random, at (346, 248), (334, 272), (334, 310) or (288, 272). If you carry the daily job Searching for Gardener, the gardener gives you one Gardener's Cookies if you carry none and have room for it. Without that job he only mumbles.

5. The boss

Talk to Velkina at (186, 287). She tells you to lead each Papilla to the pillar of its own colour: a Papilla that touches the light takes damage and dies. Then she burns incense and the boss appears at (180, 288).
Silva Papilia uses Power Up, Soul Strike of Darkness, Sucking Blood, Wide Stone and Wide Confuse. Gran Papilia adds Earthquake, Wide Curse and Demonic Hell Judgement.
The 33-second round. The fight repeats the same round until the boss is dead:
  1. A
    Papila Ruba
    (red) and a
    Papila Cae
(blue) appear at (182, 286) (Hard:
    Senior Papila Ruba
    and
    Senior Papila Cae
). One blue pillar and one red pillar light up for 15 seconds. The pillars are at (186, 294), (190, 287) and (187, 280) for blue, and (179, 294), (174, 287) and (178, 280) for red, and one of each three is lit at random. A Papilla of the matching colour that touches its pillar dies.
  2. After 15 seconds, if the boss is alive, every living member is pulled to (182, 286) and loses half of their maximum HP. A member who has less than that is left at 1 HP, so this cannot kill you. Dead members are not pulled.
  3. One second later the party is thrown to one of four edge spots: (152, 287), (183, 256), (183, 317) or (214, 287). Two seconds after that a ghost called
    Monster 4
appears next to that spot. It cannot be damaged and uses Poison Mist (level 3). It is removed at 13 seconds.
  4. At 18 seconds a new round starts with new Papilas.
When the boss dies, Velkina's last words come from a second Gardener at (187, 287). She reminds you to claim your daily rewards from Seihyu and sends you out to (233, 46) in front of the mansion.

Rewards

Nothing is handed out at the end of the run: the rewards are the monster drops and the daily jobs. The daily jobs that bring you here (one Silva Papilia in Normal, one Gran Papilia in Hard from level 180, and the cookie) pay out at Seihyu: see the episode page.
