Poring Village

A beginner party run for base levels 30 to 60: Emily leads you through three walled areas of Enriched Porings, three bosses ending with King Poring, and pays a Poring Village Leek or Carrot on the first visit. A vegetable enchanter waits outside.

Memorial dungeon
A village of Porings that only wants the humans to go home.
Emily is a young adventurer in Prontera Field who is looking for a partner. She has heard that Porings gathered treasure somewhere, and she is sure a village of Porings can be beaten by beginners like you. She does not give you a proper reward through the adventurer association, so you agree to split the loot 50-50 (after some haggling).
Inside, the Porings are the "Enriched" kind: a little stronger than the field ones and far more generous with EXP for their size.

How to go

  1. Be base level 30 to 60. Below 30 Emily calls you a novice, above 60 she says she should find someone closer to her own level.
  2. Talk to Emily once. Hear her out and agree to the 50-50 split. This sets and finishes the quest "Contract with Emily".
  3. Make a party. Emily asks for one before she opens anything.
  4. The leader picks "Create the entrance". Everyone then talks to Emily again and picks "Enter the dungeon". A map announcement in Prontera Field names each member who goes in. You arrive at (100, 22) on the map Poring Village.
Every member who enters gets the quest Recovering Fatigue, which lasts until 04:00 server time. Emily checks this quest when you talk to her, for the leader and for members alike. While it is running she says "You look very tired" and opens nothing.

Inside the village

Everything is paced by Emily's lines on the map announcement. Three walls of rope piles block the way, and each opens only when the area's boss is dead.

1. The first stretch

Step near the start at (106, 30). Emily says "Let's go!", and a few seconds later the monsters appear all over the first area. She also walks you through a short scene (hiding from the Porings, a voice saying "Don't let them run! Take all valuable items from them!") and after about 30 seconds the first wall at (146, 35 to 41) opens.
The area holds 63 monsters: 15
Enriched Drops
, 16
Enriched Poporing
, 24
Enriched Marin
and 8
Enriched Poring
. When only 3 or fewer are left, the rest disappear. Emily says "Wow~ You are quite strong!" and warns you about "a unique force near the column of blue light". Then
Hugh Goldling
appears at (132, 103). Kill it, and about 6 seconds later the second wall at (154, 100 to 107) falls.

2. The east stretch

Killing Hugh Goldling starts the second area, with 64 monsters: 16 each of Enriched Drops,
Poporing
,
Marin
and Poring, in the east around (190 to 216, 97 to 117) and in a long row at y 143 to 144 from x 73 to 197. When 4 or fewer are left, the rest vanish and Emily says "here is another Boss... It looks strong..." and goes to look for treasure.
Huge Amering
appears at (42, 173). Kill it, and the third wall at (59, 187 to 197) falls after about 6 seconds.

3. The last stretch and King Poring

The third area holds 36
Enriched Marin
. When 4 or fewer are left, King Poring speaks over the map: "Excuse me... But... Would you please get back now?..." He says the village is poor, the flyers were a misunderstanding, and "I don't like fighting but there is no choice."
Then 10 plain
Poring
(level 1, 55 HP, but set to be aggressive and to move fast) and
King Poring
appear at (182, 194). Kill King Poring and Emily appears at (199, 186) with the gift.

The blue light columns

Three columns of blue light stand at (117, 108), (37, 165) and (175, 199). Touching one shouts a joke line over your head ("Release the parrot inside!!!!"), turns you into a Hill Wind (
Hill Wind
) for 60 seconds and starts the Glast Heim State status for 30 seconds. You can use any of them as often as you like.

The vegetables and the enchanter

Poring Village Leek and Poring Village Carrot are lower headgear, level 30, no defence, not refineable.
  • Leek: physical attacks have a chance to turn you into a Smokey for 5 seconds, with extra movement speed.
  • Carrot: magical attacks have a chance to turn you into a
    Lunatic
for 5 seconds, with extra movement speed.
The Veggie Enchanter in Prontera Field takes the vegetable you are wearing on the lower headgear slot, 50 Jellopy and 20,000 zeny, and has a 30 % failure chance that destroys the vegetable ("It must have been a rotten vegetable"). A vegetable that already carries an enchant cannot be enchanted again.
On success the vegetable gets one card in its enchant slot. Shares of a successful enchant:
