A missing boy: In Moscovia, talk to Gallina at (144,279) inside the house. Her son Mikhail broke a Matrushka and ran away. Tell her you will find him. Pick 'Talk to her.' and then 'Yes, I will!'. Anna stands next to her at (148,274).

The cold fire pot: Look at the fire pot at (205,268). It has not been used for a long time. Ask Mikhail's sister Anna about him next.
Fire pot: -
Anna knows a little: Talk to Anna at (148,274) and ask where Mikhail might be hiding. She blames her brother, but she remembers that the landlady of the Sticky Herb Tree inn is fond of him. Choose 'About where Mikhail might be hiding'.
Anna: -
The Sticky Herb Tree inn: Find the landlady of the Sticky Herb Tree at (135,191). She wants a paying guest first: stay the night for 5,000 zeny. In the morning, ask her again about Mikhail. He came by for a strong glue, and she sent him to the pub. Pick 'Ask her about Mikhail.' and agree to the stay. The night heals you fully. After waking, ask about Mikhail again.

The pub owner: Talk to Sasha, the pub owner at (141,212), about Mikhail. He sent the boy to the hedgehog Victor, who sits in the same pub. Buy a drink (1,000 zeny) so that Victor will talk to you. Order a drink on the menu; milk or juice both work. Your bag must be light: the pub owner will not serve you with a full bag.

Hedgehog Victor: Talk to Victor at (147,202). He told the boy that the sticky weeds for the glue grow in a swamp on the big island, and that the old witch Baba Yaga lives there. The boy may have gone anyway.

The swamp: Sail to the big island near Moscovia and walk to the Bubbling Swamp at (153,90) in map mosk_dun03. There is no trace of Mikhail. The way is full of monsters. Keep your bag light.
Bubbling Swamp: -
Found him: Go back to the fire pot at (205,268) and search it. Bread crumbs lie around it. Choose that Mikhail is in the fire pot, and talk him out of hiding: you promise to bring a paste that can glue the Matrushka together. Pick 'Look it over' and then 'Mikhail is in the fire pot.' The other two answers do nothing.

What the paste needs: Ask Victor what is needed for the paste. He wants 10 Sticky Herbs from the swamp and 1 Medicine Bowl.

Ten Sticky Herbs: At the Bubbling Swamp (153,90) reach into the mud for sticky herbs. About half the tries give a Sticky Herb and the rest give a Green Herb. You need 10 Sticky Herbs. Get a Medicine Bowl too. The count is kept in the quest, so you can pause between tries. Bring the Medicine Bowl yourself.

The adhesive: Bring the herbs and the bowl to Victor at (147,202). He grumbles, but makes you one High Strength Adhesive. Without the full set, he sends you away to fetch the rest. Reward: 1 High Strength Adhesive.

Repairing the Matrushka: Give the adhesive to Mikhail in the fire pot at (205,268). He glues the doll together and promises to be a brave general someday.

Gallina is grateful: Talk to Gallina at (144,279). She apologises, thanks you and tells you the maid will teach you her hotcakes. Reward: base EXP 90,000.

Pancakes from Larissa: Visit Larissa, the maid at (211,259). She gives you 5 Jam Pancakes and 5 Honey Pancakes. Later you can ask her to bake one more: she needs 1 Old Frying Pan, 2 Milk, 2 White Potions, 1 Cheese, 1 Trunk and 1 Honey, and a few steps of cooking choices (sift the flour, stir slowly, cook low, wait for bubbles). The repeat baking is optional and uses the ingredients each time; toppings: caviar, mushrooms, honey, strawberry jam, sour cream. Reward: 5 Jam Pancake, 5 Honey Pancake.
