The miner's wife: From base level 40, talk to Cavitar in Einbech (einbech, 97,167). His wife was hurt in a mine cave-in and he cannot afford her care. Tell him you will help and hand over 1,000 zeny for her care. Then he offers a trade: accept it and he sends you to gather goods (next step). If you turn the trade down, he thanks you with a Phracon and that is the end of it. Free some weight first. The 1,000 zeny is paid whichever you choose. Below base level 40 he only tells you about the cave-ins, and with less than 1,000 zeny he cannot take your help. No quest log entry.

Goods for the hammer: Bring Cavitar 40 Large Jellopy, 10 Emveretarcon, 3 Coal and 10 Zargon. He takes them and gives you the Oridecon Hammer. You need 2,400 free weight. You can repeat this: talk to him again, pay 1,000 zeny and bring the goods once more. The reward is the Oridecon Hammer (item 615), not Oridecon. The var returns to 0 after each trade, so this step only shows as done in the one-in-three case below. After 60 helpers server-wide, a one-in-three chance on paying brings a gem instead (Phlogopite, Agate, Rose Quartz, Turquoise, Citrin, Pyroxene or Peridot) and he closes the quest for you for good. Reward: Oridecon Hammer x1.
