Erious's grief: In Prontera (prt_in, 161,20) a widower, Erious, weeps. Comfort him, offer to deliver a message to his late wife Elly, and promise to tell her that what happened a month ago was his fault. Quest log 11038. Choose 'Comfort him', then 'I can deliver your message to her'.

Ask Billik: Ask Billik in Umbala (umbala, 215,181) about the town of the dead. Tell him you have to meet somebody there. He sends you to a man named Feylin and says to bring a rose. Quest log 11039. You need a Witherless Rose for later.

The town of the dead: Walk north of Umbala into Niflheim and find Feylin (niflheim, 153,215). He tells you to leave. Talk to him once more and answer 'But...' so he gives in a little. Quest log 11040-11041. Two separate talks.

The ritual: With a Witherless Rose and 10 Yggdrasil Leaf in the bag and base level 80 or more, tell Feylin you are willing and confirm. He casts the spell once: about one time in eight it succeeds and Elly tells you her answer, giving you a Memento. Otherwise it fails and you can only go home. The Rose and the 10 Leaves are used up even if it fails, and the state advances either way; the Memento only comes with a success. Under level 80 he refuses.

Back to Erious: Return to Erious in Prontera. If you failed he gives you 10 Yggdrasil Leaf back as thanks. If you succeeded and carry the Memento, you pass on Elly's words and the box, and he gives you 2 Yggdrasil Berries, 2 Yggdrasil Seeds and 10 Yggdrasil Leaf. Quest log 11042 or 11043 completes. Free weight is needed to receive the reward. Reward: 10 Yggdrasil Leaf; or 2 Yggdrasil Berry, 2 Yggdrasil Seed, 10 Yggdrasil Leaf with the Memento.
