-
A farmer without a milker: From base level 50, walk up to Kurupe in Hugel at (56,104). He is desperate: he must deliver milk tomorrow and his milker Burupu has not shown up. Agree to find Burupu. Pick 'Sure.'
Kurupe: -
The would-be swordsman: Find Burupu in the field outside town at (217,270). He swings an imaginary sword. Talk to him twice: he will not milk anything, but would help for a proper sword. Agree to bring a Rapier with 2 slots. Walk up to him first, then talk. Pick 'Alright.' when he names his price.
Burupu: -
The Rapier: Bring Burupu a Rapier with 2 slots (a Rapier[2]). He is delighted, quits the milking for good, and tells you he hid his notes on milking Booboo under the ground just north-east of the cow. The Rapier[2] is handed over and does not come back.
-
Do it yourself: Return to Kurupe and offer to milk Booboo yourself. He promises food if you manage.
-
Burupu's notebook: Find Burupu's notebook on the ground at (72,101), next to the cow, and read the chapters about brushing Booboo according to her mood and about the song you must answer. The notes explain how many brush strokes each mood needs (five strokes for neutral contentment, one for love, none when she is angry). This is optional but you need the rules for the next step. No state changes.
Burupu's Instructions: -
Milk Booboo: Talk to Booboo the Cow at (68,99) and choose to milk her. Put 3 Concentration Potions into the comb, brush her the right number of strokes for her mood, then answer her song with the one word that differs from what she sang. If you get it wrong, she gets angry and you must try again with 3 new potions. Each attempt uses 3 Concentration Potions. Check the notebook first.
Booboo the Cow: -
The delivery is saved: Tell Kurupe the cow is milked. He pays you with food and base EXP. You need free bag weight for the reward. You can milk Booboo again later for a random prize from Kurupe, with no EXP. Reward: 3 Fruit Mix, base EXP 10,000.
