Revolution in Luoyang (party of 8)

The Hermit of Luoyang: Talk to the Hermit, Sun Mao, (lou_in02, 77,37). He leads a secret movement for reform. Choose to join, and confirm that you are ready to fight through pain and bloodshed. He engraves your name on the pledge board. Meant for a party of eight: seven friends must join you one at a time. Hermit · Inside Louyang 77/37

Recruit one at a time: Bring one new party member at a time to Sun Mao. Each time he greets your party, your party must be exactly one larger than at your last visit, so invite one friend, talk to him, invite the next. Inviting two at once makes him send you away. The count is checked against your party size at every visit. Seven members is the last step before the final one. Hermit · Inside Louyang 77/37

The eighth member: When a party of eight stands in front of Sun Mao and you are base level 50 or higher, he explains the mission: deliver chemicals to the gunpowder maker Hao Chenryu, held by corrupt officials. He gives you 8 Burnt Tree, 8 Lava and 8 Mud Lump; divide them so each of the eight carries one of each. Under base level 50 he asks you to train first. Everyone in the party has their own progress; each member who gets here receives their own chemicals. Hermit · Inside Louyang 77/37 Reward: 8 Burnt Tree, 8 Lava, 8 Mud Lump.

Gunpowder: Every member takes the chemicals to Hao Chenryu (lou_in01, 43,147), reached through the soldier at (82,139). The soldier turns away anyone who carries Burnt Tree, Lava or Mud Lump in the bag, so keep them in a cart or elsewhere until you are inside, take them out, and choose 'Make Gunpowder'. He turns one of each into 1 Gunpowder. The soldier at (45,138) stops anyone leaving the room with Gunpowder in the bag, so hide it in a cart. Needs 1 Burnt Tree, 1 Lava and 1 Mud Lump per person. Report back: Collect 8 Gunpowder in your bag, one from each member, and return to Sun Mao with all eight in the party. He takes the Gunpowder and gives you 8 Red Envelopes. The whole party of eight must be present. Each member who wants the reward needs 8 Gunpowder in their own bag, so the Gunpowder is passed around. Hermit · Inside Louyang 77/37 Reward: 8 Red Envelopes.
