Open beta only. Every character and item is wiped at launch, and the hall closes then.
The Beta Test Hall fills the sand training ground in Prontera's south-east quarter . New characters start at its west edge during the open beta, and the Warper's and the Kafra's Prontera trips land there too.
The gear NPCs stand on the sand, two class lines a row. Every other NPC stands in one row around the edge of the sand: the services along the west edge (north and south of the arrival point). Six training dummies stand on the sand between the training posts, each with a Damage Meter beside it.
Everything in the hall is free and bound to your character: it can't be sold to a shop, traded, dropped, vended or stored. The hall never hands out zeny, Hunting Coins or Arion Coins.
What's there
| NPC | What it does |
|---|---|
| Beta Guide | explains the hall |
| Job Changer | any job (novice, first, second, transcendent, third, fourth and the expanded classes; Doram characters pick Doram jobs) and any base/job level up to the job's maximum. Stats and skills are reset afterwards with the full skill points of that job path. |
| Gear NPCs, two per class line | on the sand, north to south: Swordman and Mage, Archer and Acolyte, Merchant and Thief, Taekwon and Ninja, Gunslinger and Novice, Doram. Each line has two NPCs side by side: the left one (for example Swordman Gear) has the gear up to third class, the right one (Swordman 4th Gear) the fourth class gear (wearable only by fourth classes, or equip level 200+). By type: weapons, shields, armor, garments, shoes, accessories, headgear top/mid/low, shadow gear; every list A to Z. Only items the game client can show are listed. |
| Card Dealer | every card by slot, plus every MVP card |
| Free Refiner | always succeeds, up to +20 (shadow gear +10), on gear from the hall |
| Free Buffs | full heal and the official support buffs for 10 minutes |
| Free Reset | stat and skill reset |
| Free Supplies | potions, gemstones, catalysts, arrows, bullets, spheres, shuriken and cannonballs |
| Damage Meter (one beside each dummy) | sets its dummy's element, size, race and DEF, and measures your damage |
| MVP Room | a private room (alone, or with your party) where you call any MVP, up to 5 at a time |
| Duel Arena | a small arena where players fight each other |
Skip the official Training Instructor next to the arrival point: the browser client has no map files for his training grounds, so going in leaves you on the loading screen. He closes with the next game update.

Training dummies
Six official training dummies stand on the sand in pairs, between the training posts. They don't move, have 2 billion HP and are topped up every 5 minutes.
The Damage Meter beside each dummy sets it up and measures:
| Menu | What it does |
|---|---|
| Element | Neutral, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Poison, Holy, Shadow, Ghost or Undead, level 1-4 |
| Size | Small, Medium or Large |
| Race | Formless, Undead, Brute, Plant, Insect, Fish, Demon, Demi-Human, Angel or Dragon |
| DEF and MDEF | none (0 / 0), medium (100 / 50) or high (300 / 150) |
| Start measuring | 10, 30 or 60 seconds: total damage, hits, damage per second and your biggest hit |
| Reset this dummy | back to Neutral 1, Medium, Formless, no DEF |
Anyone hitting the dummy during a measurement counts too, so pick a free one. Hits that land in the same tenth of a second count as one hit.
Good to know
- MVPs in the MVP room are practice copies: no loot, no EXP and no kill credit for achievements, quests or the Hunting Hall. Dying there or in the Duel Arena costs no EXP.
- A character that used the Job Changer's levels or the Free Refiner gets no Hunting Coins from the level and +12 refine achievements.
- Gear is official and keeps its official rules: some pieces are for one job only or need a higher level.
