Old Glast Heim takes you back in time to witness the fall of the great castle. The instance shows two floors of the castle as it was before it became a ruin. You fight through two zones: the throne hall area on the first floor and the deeper keep on the second floor. The story is told through Hugin and Heinrich, two characters caught in the collapse.
💡This is a 3rd-class endgame instance. You need Base Level 130 to enter and must have started the Hugin quest first. Bring a full party -- the wave fights on the second floor hit hard.
Requirements
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Base Level | 130 minimum |
| Party | Must be in a party (no solo hard-cap on size) |
| Pre-quest | Speak to Hugin at Glast Heim to start quest 12316 |
| Cooldown | 1 day (resets via quest 12317 cooldown timer) |
Speak to Hugin outside Glast Heim castle to begin the quest.
Hugin stands near the entrance to Glast Heim. He is a scholar studying the dimensional gap. Talk to him until he explains the history of Glast Heim and agrees to send you back in time. He gives you quest 12316 (Meeting Hugin) to start the process.
After completing his initial dialogue, he unlocks the ability to create the instance. Come back to him as party leader when your group is ready.
Form a party and have the leader create the instance.
Only the party leader can talk to Hugin to create the instance. Hugin calls it a Time Travel quest (quest 12318). Once created, every party member selects "Enter" from the same Hugin dialogue.
âš ï¸The cooldown quest 12317 tracks when you last entered. If the timer has not expired, Hugin will refuse to create a new instance. The cooldown resets after one day.First floor: fight through the hall and reach the courtyard.
You start inside the old castle before its fall. The map is divided into corridors and rooms. Fight through the undead soldiers and corrupted castle staff. Key enemy types on the first floor:
| Enemy | Notes |
|---|---|
| Abysmal Knight | Heavy melee guard blocking the main corridor |
| Khalitzburg | Armored undead near the throne approach |
| Corrupted Steward | Spawns in groups of 12 near the western hall |
| Corrupted Monk | Spawns in the eastern section |
A wave event triggers when you approach the main hall. Kill all monsters in the current section before the path to the next section opens.
💡Fast Mode is available. In fast mode you skip the cutscene dialogue and go straight to the fights. The treasure room is not accessible in fast mode.Second floor: the keep and the Himelmez boss fight.
The second floor is the inner keep. The fight here is a large multi-wave push. You work through rooms with Palace Guards, Outraged Archers, Wandering Archers, and Maggots before reaching the inner chamber.
The final boss is Amdarais, the necromancer who corrupted the castle. She appears at the center of the inner throne room after you clear the keep waves.
| Boss | Level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Himelmez | 153 | Summons undead; kills everything around her periodically; use ranged attacks from distance |
After defeating Himelmez the instance ends and a reward chest spawns.
Collect your rewards from Varmundt before leaving.
After the first-floor clear Varmundt gives you a small reward. After the second-floor clear (Himelmez dead), open the treasure chest for the main loot.

- Level gate is strict. Below 130 Hugin will not talk to you at all.
- Two modes. Normal mode includes cutscenes and story dialogue. Fast mode skips to the fighting but locks the treasure room.
- Daily cooldown. You can run this once per day per party. The cooldown is tracked by quest 12317.
- Second floor is endgame. The deep keep waves and Himelmez require a geared 3rd-class party. Bring a dedicated healer and tank.
- Both floors are required. You cannot jump to the second floor without clearing the first.
