A twelve-floor tower in Hugel fields (hu_fild01). Lower floors (1-4) have mid-tier mobs from level 56 to 120. Upper floors (5-12) are endgame territory with Plasma, Owl Baron, and the four Thanatos mini-bosses. The tower hosts the Thanatos MVP on the highest floors and is also part of the Shadow Chaser job-change quest. Bring a party for floors 9 and above.
💡Lower floors mix levels heavily -- Rideword (Lv 74) and Ancient Mimic (Lv 112) can share the same floor. Focus the lower-level mobs first if you are new to the tower. Upper floors have Neutral and Holy elements -- physical builds with high ATK work well throughout.
âš ï¸The four Thanatos special mobs (Dolor, Despero, Maero, Odium) on the upper floors are required to unlock the Thanatos MVP. If you are not on the Thanatos quest, they are just very tough bonus mobs.
Access
From Hugel, head west into hu_fild01. The Thanatos Tower entrance is a large structure in that field. Enter the base building (tha_scene01) and walk to the warp at the top of the foyer.
Use the Kafra to reach Hugel, then walk or use Fly Wing to hu_fild01.

Rideword (Rideword, Lv 74, Neutral) and Mimic (Mimic, Lv 56, Neutral) appear on most lower floors. Ancient Mimic (Ancient Mimic, Lv 112, Neutral) joins on floor 2 onward. Death Word (Death Word, Lv 114, Neutral) becomes the main target from floor 2. Owl Duke (Owl Duke, Lv 92, Neutral) and Owl Baron (Owl Baron, Lv 120, Neutral) appear on floors 4 and up. Four Plasma variants (Fire/Water/Earth/Dark, Lv 115-118) spread across the lower floors.
Owl Duke and Owl Baron cards are popular. Rideword Card adds HP/SP recovery when attacking.

The four named women: Baroness of Retribution (Baroness of Retribution, Lv 121, Dark), Dame of Sentinel (Dame of Sentinel, Lv 127, Neutral), Mistress of Shelter (Mistress of Shelter, Lv 125, Holy), and Lady Solace (Lady Solace, Lv 123, Holy). Each floor pairs different combinations of these with Plasma mobs and the Thanatos special mobs (Dolor, Despero, Maero, Odium at Lv 129, Ghost element).
âš ï¸Thanatos special mobs (Dolor, Maero, Despero, Odium) are not MVPs but they are very tough and appear in pairs on multiple upper floors. They are Ghost element -- use Ghost or Holy weapons.
