This is the second chapter of the Arion Story. The quest you get and the NPC you talk to depend on the faction you chose at the end of Chapter I. Both paths are short. Both give the same rewards. Both end at the same place: ready for Chapter III.
💡You must finish Chapter I (arion_q2 at 2 or higher) before this quest opens. If Director Thorne or The Listener turns you away, go complete Chapter I first.
Getting to the Arion Hub
All story contacts are in the Arion Hub. Use the portal in Prontera near 156, 191, or type

If you reported Kairo to the Guild at the Crossroads, Director Thorne is your contact for this chapter.
Find Director Malec Thorne in the Arion Hub.
He stands in the lower row of the hub, south of Ren and Serin Alda. He wears Guild colors and does not waste words.
He tells you the Veil readings are climbing and the Guild plans to seal it by force. He needs a test of the seal compound first.
He asks: Bring me 5 Sticky Mucus.

Sticky Mucus drops from Fabre, Creamy, and similar field creatures found outside Prontera. They are low-difficulty monsters.
Go out and kill them until you have 5 Sticky Mucus in your bag.
💡Check your inventory (Alt+E) to count your Mucus as you collect.Return to Director Thorne with your 5 Sticky Mucus.
Hand them over and he confirms the compound works. He warns you that the Guild will seal the Veil tears with or without the city's agreement.
He also mentions something waking in those who survive the Veil's pull: an old power called Transcendence.

She stands just beside Director Thorne in the lower hub row. She speaks quietly and tells you the Voice behind the Veil will let you closer because you protected Kairo's truth.
She asks: Bring me 5 Clover.

Clover is a dropped item from small field monsters near Prontera. They are easy to kill.
Go out and gather 5 Clover, then return.
Return to The Listener with your 5 Clover.
She takes them and asks you to stand still. She says you can feel it now: the old power waking under your skin. She calls it Transcendence.
She tells you when the season turns you may claim it on your own terms, not the Guild's.

Both factions hear the same word at the end: Transcendence. Chapter III opens immediately. Walk to The Threshold in the Arion Hub to continue.
