Game update

Group Finder roles, one Sanctum per account and a quieter Map of the Day

Changes

  • Group Finder: only Acolytes, the Priest line and Doram can now queue as Healer, and only the Swordman, Knight and Crusader lines as Tank; every class can still be DPS. The same rule applies to a party leader's role picks and to requests to join a listed group. If you change class while you wait, the finder keeps only the roles your new class can play.

The Group Finder now checks each role against your class. Acolytes, the Priest line and Doram can queue as Healer, the Swordman, Knight and Crusader lines can queue as Tank, and every class can queue as DPS. The same rule covers the roles a party leader picks and requests to join a listed group: if a group wants only roles your class can't play, @finder apply tells you so. If you change class while you wait, the finder keeps only the roles your new class can play.

The game chat after @finder apply: You can't apply to #7: it wants Healer, and your class (Novice) can play DPS.

  • Veilkeeper's Sanctum: one account runs one Sanctum at a time, like the Sundering Trial. While one of your characters still has its tear open, the Veil Anchor turns your other characters away. The tear closes 5 minutes after the last player leaves it.

The Veilkeeper's Sanctum now works like the Sundering Trial: one Sanctum per account at a time. While one of your characters still has its tear open, the Veil Anchor turns your other characters away and tells them why. Finish the run with that character, or leave the tear: it closes 5 minutes after the last player leaves it.

The Veil Anchor dialog: Another character on your account still has a Sanctum open. One tear at a time: finish it there, or leave it and the tear closes 5 minutes after it is empty.

  • Map of the Day and Monster of the Day: no more notice when you log in. The hourly and midnight notices are now one chat line each, without the banner, and @motd still shows both any time.

Map of the Day and Monster of the Day no longer show a notice when you log in. Every hour on the hour and at midnight, each one sends a single chat line, with no banner across the screen. Type @motd to see both at any time.

The game chat with the hourly lines: [Map of the Day] Geffen Fields: +50% EXP until midnight. [Monster of the Day] Menblatt: +50% EXP until midnight.

  • When a new player logs in for the first time, everyone online gets a welcome line in chat.

The first time a new account logs in, everyone online gets one chat line: "Welcome <name>, a new adventurer in Arion! Say hi in #main." It is a chat line only, with no banner.

The game chat: [Server] Welcome Liora, a new adventurer in Arion! Say hi in #main.

  • Rebellion: Crimson Marker now lasts 50 seconds was 30.

Crimson Marker now lasts 50 seconds, the time the skill's description in the game already gave. Before, the mark ended after 30 seconds. The longer mark counts on monsters and on players.

Fixes

  • Veil Finder: if a group can't form because a player logged out after accepting, that player now keeps their place in the queue for 5 minutes, like after any other logout. Accepting a ready check after its 60 seconds have run out no longer counts.

When a Veil Finder group can't form because a player logged out after accepting the ready check, that player now keeps their place in the queue for 5 minutes, the same as after any other logout. A ready check accepted after its 60 seconds have run out no longer counts.

  • Attendance: check-in days 29, 30 and 31 now get a chat line too. The reward mail and the chat line say "Check-in day 30" instead of "Day 30 of 28", and the chat line names your next stamp while the month has days left.
