This is the stretch before 3rd class. EXP requirements jump, so good map choice matters. These spots have the highest density and best EXP in the 75 to 100 range.
💡Pick up your Sara's Memories instance () once you hit Base Level 99. It gives 770,000 base EXP and 1,000,000 job EXP on a 20-hour cooldown. You can run it the moment you are eligible and push hard to the next bracket.
Spot 1: Rachel Fields (Roweens and Anacondaq)
Map 1: -- Roweens
Map 2: -- Anacondaq and Roweens
Reach Rachel via the airship from Juno (). The airship to Rachel costs 1,200 zeny.
Monsters on ra_fild12:
- Roween (Roween) -- Level 95, Wind element. 216 on this map. Very high spawn count. Main target.
- Anopheles (Anopheles) -- Level 95, Wind element. 49 on the map. Mosquito-type, similar EXP.
Monsters on ra_fild08:
- Anacondaq (Anacondaq) -- Level 100, Poison element. 159 on this map.
- Roween (Roween) -- Level 95, Wind element. 79 on the map.
Why it is good: Rachel Fields have among the best EXP density for this level range. Roweens and Anopheles are Wind element -- Earth attacks do double damage. Anacondaq are Poison element -- Ground spells and Neutral are safe bets.
Class note: Rangers, Gunslingers, and AoE Wizards/High Wizards eat through Roween packs. Monks with Occult Impaction deal Neutral damage at full value on any element.
Spot 2: Lighthalzen Field (Sleeper and Rafflesia)
Map:
West of Juno. Walk west from Juno city or warp.
Monsters here:
- Sleeper (Sleeper) -- Level 81, Earth element. 185 on this map. Slow-moving, high HP but high EXP. Earth element means Wind attacks work well.
- Harpy (Harpy) -- Level 83, Wind element. 50 on the map.
Why it is good: Sleepers are arguably the best solo grind in this range for non-Holy characters. They have passive aggro (will not chase far) and the density of 185 on one map is very good.
Map 2:
East of Lighthalzen city.
- Rafflesia (Rafflesia) -- Level 86, Earth element. 170 on this map. Plant type, Wind attacks do double damage.
- Stem Worm (Stem Worm) -- Level 84, Wind element. 45 on the map.
Why it is good: Rafflesias are slow-moving plants with good EXP. Easy for melee characters without special elemental tools.
Spot 3: Glast Heim Churchyard (Undead for Priests)
Map:
Enter Glast Heim from the north of Prontera (walk north from Prontera through the fields, then into the ruined castle). The churchyard is a side area of Glast Heim.
Monsters here:
- Dark Priest (Dark Priest) -- Level 98, Undead element. 95 on this map. Hard-hitting but Holy-vulnerable.
- Wraith (Wraith) -- Level 77, Undead element. 55 on the map.
- Evil Druid (Evil Druid) -- Level 80, Undead element. 15 on the map.
Why it is good: All Undead monsters take double damage from Holy skills. Priests can literally Heal-bomb entire packs of Undead. Dark Priests at Level 98 give very high EXP. This is the best spot in the game for Acolyte/Priest players before third class.
âš ï¸Do NOT use Resurrection or Kyrie Eleison inside Glast Heim -- the undead can reflect some buffs. Bring plenty of Red and Blue Potions unless you have a secondary Priest.
Class note: This spot is best for Priest and High Priest. Other jobs can grind here but will need Holy weapons and good gear to survive Dark Priest's attacks.
