By level 25 you should have your first job class. The maps in this bracket have real monster density and the EXP starts to feel meaningful on a 5x server.
💡Always have an Eden Group mission active. At this range the missions target Orc Warrior, Orc Lady, and coastal monsters -- exactly what you will be hunting anyway. Pick them up at the Eden Group HQ ().
Spot 1: Geffen Fields (Orc Village area)
Map:
Go west from Geffen city, then take the north exit. This field borders the Orc Village and has the highest Orc density of any accessible map.
Monsters here:
- Orc Warrior (Orc Warrior) -- Level 44, Earth element. 179 on this map. The main target. Meaty HP, but they drop Orc Warrior Cards and Chivalry Emblems, which are in demand.
- Orc Lady (Orc Lady) -- Level 45, Earth element. 55 on the map. Slightly harder. Drop Orc Lady Cards.
- Orc Baby (Orc Baby) -- Level 43, Earth element. 27 on the map. Weakest of the three.
Why it is good: Over 260 monsters on this map, all Earth element. Wind-element attacks (Acolyte holy, Mage wind spells) rip through them. Excellent for AoE jobs.
Class note: Knights and Crusaders love this map for the tight enemy grouping. Hunters can kite Orc Warriors easily. Mages with Cold Bolt or Thunderstorm tear through the pack.
Access: Warp to Geffen via the Warp Network, then walk north-west.
Spot 2: Geffen Fields (Goblin map)
Map:
South and east of Geffen city. Multiple Goblin types on one map.
Monsters here:
- Goblin (Goblin, Wind) -- Level 48, Wind element. 58 on the map.
- Goblin (Goblin, Fire) -- Level 44, Fire element. 58 on the map.
- Goblin (Goblin, Poison) -- Level 44, Poison element. 58 on the map.
- Goblin (Goblin, Earth) -- Level 49, Earth element. 58 on the map.
Why it is good: Mixed elements mean one spell type will not hit them all equally, but their combined density (230 plus monsters) makes this a reliable grinding map for melee characters. Goblins also drop Goblin Cards, which can be sold.
Class note: Rogues and Assassins with Enchant Poison do well here. Melee classes can chain-kill Goblins faster than on the Orc maps.
Spot 3: Mt. Mjolnir (Argos)
Map:
North of Prontera and east of Geffen. Ask a Kafra for transport or walk from Prontera's north gate.
Monsters here:
- Argos (Argos) -- Level 47, Poison element. 194 on this map. Spider-type monster. Slow movement, easy to kite, good EXP.
Why it is good: Argos has the single highest spawn count of any level-appropriate monster in this bracket. 194 spiders on one field means you barely need to move. Fire-element attacks do double damage.
Class note: Hunters and Archers can stay at maximum range and kill Argos before they close. Ideal for a solo ranged grind. Mages with Fire Bolt clear them instantly.
âš ï¸Argos is Poison element. That means Poison-type attacks heal them. Do not use Enchant Poison or poison-type skills here.
Spot 4: Payon Cave Floor 2
Map:
Enter Payon Cave from the town of Payon, then go one floor deeper.
Monsters here:
- Soldier Skeleton (Soldier Skeleton) -- Level 34, Undead element. 53 on this map. Drops Oridecon and Elunium sometimes.
- Archer Skeleton (Archer Skeleton) -- Level 50, Undead element. 32 on the map. Shoots arrows, so ranged attackers need to close in or dodge.
Why it is good: Undead monsters take double damage from Holy and Fire. Acolytes with Heal or Holy Light can one-shot or two-shot Skeletons at this level. Very fast kills.
Class note: Acolytes and Priests shine here. Swordmen and Merchants can use Holy Water or Holy Elemental weapons. Avoid this spot if you have no way to deal Holy or Fire damage -- it will be slow.
Summary
| Level range | Where to go |
|---|---|
| 25 to 35 | Mt. Mjolnir -- Argos |
| 30 to 45 | Payon Cave F2 -- Skeletons (Acolyte/Fire jobs) |
| 35 to 50 | Geffen Field -- Orc Warriors |
| 40 to 50 | Geffen Field -- Goblins (melee) |
💡At level 40 you can advance to your second job class (Knight, Hunter, Wizard, Priest, etc.). Start the job change quest around level 40 to 45. Do not wait until 50 -- the quests take real time and you want to be in your second class for the next bracket.
